Meet Lilly: The Girl Who Found the Swim Jar

Lilly loved collecting unusual things. Not toys. Not stickers. Not even seashells.

Lilly collected stories.

Whenever she visited somewhere new, she would look for clues, treasures and little mysteries that other people walked straight past.

One rainy afternoon, while exploring a quiet old shop near the harbour, she noticed something unusual sitting on a dusty shelf.

It was a jar. A bright red jar. Not a biscuit jar. Not a jam jar.

A Swim Jar.

Lilly carefully picked it up.

The label read:

WATER READY

Prepared from countless hours of play.

Made from goggles, giggles and goals.

Inside, the red swirl wasn't still.

It moved. Round and round. Round and round.

Almost as though it were alive.

Lilly stared.

The swirl seemed to shimmer and sparkle. Then something extraordinary happened. A tiny swimmer appeared on the lid.

The swimmer stretched forwards. Took a deep breath. And dived.

Splash!

Straight into the jar.

Lilly blinked.

Surely she had imagined it. She looked closer. Inside the red swirl she could see flashes of something.

A first splash.

A first float.

A first underwater glide.

A first brave attempt.

Memories danced beneath the surface like tiny stars. Then a whisper drifted from inside the jar.

"Open me."

Lilly looked around. The shop was empty.

"Open me," the voice whispered again.

Slowly, Lilly reached for the lid.

Twist.

Twist.

Twist.

The lid began to turn.

The red swirl started spinning faster.

The room disappeared. The shelf disappeared. The shop disappeared.

And before Lilly knew what was happening...

She was falling headfirst into the greatest swimming adventure of her life.

Her Swim Jar adventure had begun.

And she had no idea what was waiting for her inside.
